HEADSTOCK AND SPINDLE   The headstock is also made of high quality cast iron, properly stress relieved. It has heavy ineternal ribbing and large thick walls to provide stability at high RPM and rigidity during deep cuts. The spindle is supported on 2 opposite high precision taper roller bearings at the front and the rear. All gears and shafts are made of Cr-Ni steel and hardened and ground. High torque and wide RPM range is available thru the 18 spindle speeds main motor. Operator controls provide: spindle motor ON/OFF, coolant ON/OFF, spindle jogging, spindle electromagnetic brake ON/OFF and emergency stop push buttons, spindle start, stop and reverse. Double chucks are avaitabel. The PA and PB series have spindle bore available: 6.1", 9.05,12.4",14",16", 20"
